El Chorro de Maíta
Chorro de Maíta is the largest and most fascinating burial ground of all the aboriginal settlement sites discovered in Banes, the archaeological capital of Cuba. The find is located in the foothills of Yaguajay Mountain, 8 Km from Guardalavaca beach. In front of the Museum stands the Taíno village, an attractive replica of an indigenous community. The customs, games, and daily scenes of its inhabitants are enacted in a unique performance.
